Honorary Consul: Andrew M. Bingham

Andrew M. Bingham was recognized by the State Department as an Honorary Consul to Finland on October 1, 2007. He is the founder and Managing Principal of Astoria Capital Management, a Salt Lake City-headquartered, asset-management firm with offices in Shenzhen (China), Tallinn (Estonia), and Newport Beach (California). Prior to founding Astoria Capital, Mr. Bingham was a vice president at Merrill Lynch (NYSE; MER), where he specialized in the development of private banking services for entrepreneurs and middle-market-growth companies.
Andy Bingham is actively involved in several philanthropic and service organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and The Road Home homeless shelter. As a young man, Andy spent several years in Finland - which is when he learned to speak Finnish - and has maintained close ties with the many friends and business acquaintances he has made since then. He is married to the former Pilvi Fristrom; together they have four sons and reside in Utah.
