Honorary Consul of Morocco


Keith W. Martin

Keith was recognized by the State Department as an Honorary Consul to Morocco on February 10, 2011.  Until 2010 he was Director and Chief Export Officer of International Sales for Martin Door Manufacturing, a Utah Manufacturer of garage doors. His work has brought him to over 60 countries. This resulted in Martin Doors being presented The U S Presidential Award for Exporting Excellence, by Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown. He Keith earned his Ph.D. in Cultural Foundations of Education from the University of Utah in 1975. His dissertation research was on the education changes at Zaytuna University/Mosque in Tunisia using French, Arabic, and some English materials. 
Previously, Dr. Keith has been a six-time guest lecturer, with published articles for the Amazigh/Berber Forum/Festivel in Fez, Morocco, a Director and Vice President of the World Trade Association, an Adjunct Professor of International Marketing at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, a member of the Advancement Board for the College of Education at the U of U, a member of the International Advisory Council for the Business College of Salt Lake Community College, a member of The Governor's Middle East Working Group, and Vice President of The American Institute of Arabic Studies under the direction of Dr. Sami Hanna. Keith and his wife Trisa were married in 1970 and they are the parents of six and grandparents of thirteen.
